It is our mission at BTS CrossFit to excel in the field of coaching CrossFit and its training principles. We will do this by doing everything in our power to look after each member as an individual and help them to progress as athletes and people. We are committed to further increasing our education and training experiences to pass on to our members. We believe we can change the lives of the people within our community by providing state of the art coaching through a system that just plain works.

Trent Colmer

trent colmerTrent originally from a Rugby League / personal training background found his new passion CrossFit in 2010. With over 10 years of CrossFit coaching experience and co founder of BTS in 2012 he strongly believes CrossFit is the best training system in the world , for any level of fitness of any individual. His Major achievements have been 2011 regional rep and teams in 2012. Pan pacific games winner 2014, 2016 , and several top 50 placings in world for Masters, 28th being the highest. 
Hard but fair and always with a smile Trent applies himself and his knowledge with total dedication to the class and the clients goals. 
QUALIFICATIONS:

AWF weightlifting and sports power coach cert

Scott Hutchison

scott hutchisonCoach Hutch is co-founder of BTS CrossFit and still loves coaching and training as much as he did since we first open our doors 10 years ago. Scott has won a pan pacific games in 2018 and competed in the Pacific Regionals 4 times in a row at the highest level . Scott has over 20 years of training experience and is a wealth of knowledge which he demonstrates in his programming for BTS. Competing as one of the top CrossFitters in Australia, he now trains for a more balanced lifestyle. His current goals are to train daily and stay fit and healthy and keep up with his 3 boys.

Thomas O'Brien

thomas obrienTom was a member at a gym for 2 years before finding CrossFit, and has never  looked back. He has found that it has strengthened him mentally and the physical changes along with fitness levels increased dramatically. He finds that the effort put in definitely brings results in the sport, and the environment is always friendly and fun.

He has turned this passion found into a promising new career path, and has been coaching CrossFit since December 2014. He has since gained  Cert IV in fitness and a level 2 as a CrossFit coach to show his dedication to his role. 
Tom’s goal is to help others find a passion for CrossFit, achieve their fitness goal and hopefully improve their health in a fun active friendly way.

Morven Reid

katrina stewartMorv has enjoyed competitive sport her whole adult life, from soccer to martial arts to years of long distance running and triathlons. Her most notable achievement from that time was completing 5 marathons across Europe, achieving sub 3 hour marathon time that allowed her an elite entry for the London Marathon. She has always balanced a love of the weight room alongside her sporting endeavours, and values the benefits of resistance training as a vital part of every athlete’s training regime. 

Morv took up Crossfit in 2014 and hasn’t looked back. She was a group fitness instructor for 6 years prior to starting Crossfit, and inspired by the fantastic coaches who guided her in her first few years of the sport she completed her Crossfit Level 1 in 2020. 

Morv balances coaching at BTS with her “day job” of being an Emergency Department specialist Doctor, a combination which she finds gives her a unique understanding of the importance of exercise as a vital part of health, the value of a balanced and healthy lifestyle and injury prevention and management. 
Morv is a not only a fierce competitor on the floor, she’s also extremely encouraging and supportive in a class and team environment.
